As a Mom to not just one, but two little ones who are in school and dance, I am in need of a reliable car. Not only does my car need to be reliable, I need a place to go to get reliable service. As a Dance Mom I am always on the go. Between Dance practice, Competition and Recitals I travel a lot. And now that my youngest has enrolled into her first year of dance things are about to get even more busy. Plus, my family loves to travel during the Summer. I mean, who doesn't love a good Beach or Overnight Road Trip?

Recently my car needed an oil change and I needed to go somewhere reliable. My car has to be safe, not only for my safety, but my daughter's, as well as others on the road. It is so important to keep up on your car maintenance. Since I was planning a Grocery trip plus Back to School shopping I headed over to Walmart. This isn't my first time using Walmart's Tire & Lube Express. Not only do they have affordable prices, wonderful mechanics AND the only oil I use in my car Quaker State Oil, but I can shop while my car is being taken care of.

The one thing I love about Walmart's Tire & Lube Express is the mechanics, they are friendly and helpful. I know for me, when I first started shopping around for Oil I had no idea what I was doing. This is my first car and I didn't want to use the wrong brand. That's when a Walmart mechanic introduced me to Quaker State Advanced Durability Motor Oil. It's perfect for my car and since I bought my car used it already had a ton of miles so when I'm ready and with the help of Walmart's Tire & Lube Express I can switch my oil to Quaker State Defy - High Mileage Motor Oil! For me, that's one less thing to worry about.

It's so important to maintain a good relationship with my car and treat her well. She, like my daughter's, needs to be taken care of. Have you ever relied on someone else for transportation? I know I have. My fiance works and at the time we only had one car. Talk about a nightmare. I'm thankful for all the help but it was a very stressful time. Also, I live in a small town. Nothing is really walking distance except a few small stores. There are no buses, etc. If you don't have a car, don't plan on going anywhere. Which is yet another reason why I'm so thankful for my car. She's not much, but she's mine. I am able to get my daughter's to appointments on time and I am able to travel. And with the help of Quaker State Oil from Walmart I can do all that in a safe, well maintenance car.

My relationship with my car is just as important as to taking my daughter's to the doctors. My car allows me to get my daughter's to dance and remain their number one cheerleader during Competition and Recital. My car is apart of my family and should be treated as so.

Have you used Quaker State Oil at Walmart? How important is your car and maintenance to your family?

  10. I haven't tried that kind of oil before. I'm actually pretty forgetful when it comes to oil changes, so you make a great point about being aware and keeping your car safe for little ones.

  13. Sounds great. I haven't ever heard of Quaker State before. We don't have a vehicle though so that is probably why. But this sounds just great, great reminder to those who have cars too! - Jeanine

  17. My local walmart does have a car center in it. Which, I found odd when I first moved here. When I lived in Oklahoma, the local walmart had one and I used it often.

  20. Unfortunately I am a typical born and raised New York City girl, I do not drive. and oddly we have a lot of stores near us but Walmart isn't one of them so I have never shopped in a brick and mortar Walmart location. I wish there was one closer as they have great prices. I do not drive but the oil for a car is important you need to make sure you are buying the best one to maintain the life of your car!

  21. Honestly, I'm not sure if I ever heard of the brand. My husband is always the one that buys the oil, so I'm practically clueless when it comes to that. :)

  27. Car maintenance is essential. I don't usually go to Wal-Mart for my car servicing, but I'm sure they are the more affordable option that is still good quality. Thanks for the reminder about Wally world.
