Alyssa Collazo: 2014 Holiday Gift Guide - Highlights♥

2014 Holiday Gift Guide - Highlights♥

Devoted to "Fun with a Purpose," Highlights for Children, Inc. has helped children become their best selves for generations. Its flagship publication, Highlights magazine, the most recognizable and widely-read children's magazine in the nation, printed its billionth copy in June 2006. Other Highlights offerings include the magazine for children 2-6, Highlights High Five, Highlights for Children Book Clubs (Puzzlemania, Mathmania, Which Way USA?, Top Secret Adventures, and Hidden Pictures Playground). The company's editorial offices are in Honesdale, PA and business headquarters are in Columbus, OH.

High Five (ages 2 - 6)
High Five helps you encourage your child’s development and gives you an ideal opportunity for one-on-one fun together. Each monthly issue brings 40 pages of read-along stories and poems, simple crafts and recipes, learning games, puzzles for beginners and other activities that can set your child on the path to becoming a lifelong learner. Every page reinforces skills that prepare preschoolers for reading, math and other areas of learning. High Five also offers positive role models and constructive activities that help build character and self-confidence. I can't recommend this magazine enough, it's such a fun and educational product. My 3 year old loves it (and I enjoy reading it to her!) The illustrations are bold, bright & beautiful, and the activities are age appropriate. An added bonus is that the pages are sturdier than your average magazine and will keep relatively well. The issues are all so beautiful that I will keep them for a few years, to be read and reread until my daughter outgrows them.

Highlights (ages 6-12)
Highlights magazine is a gift you can feel good about giving. The experts at Highlights know how to keep kids motivated with fun while they are learning and practicing the essential skills they will need in school. Skill-building fun In every 40-page issue, kids explore new topics, investigate cool subjects and find out about the world. Highlights magazine for kids is filled with stories, games, puzzles, riddles, science experiments, craft projects and interactive entertainment! A childhood classic you can trust Highlights provides a commercial-free zone in which to play, learn and just be a kid. A gift children open again and again Children look forward to receiving Highlights magazine in the mail. It's something special just for them. It’s like receiving a gift 12 times a year! I remember reading Highlights in school and in doctors' waiting rooms when I was a little girl. It is as good today as it was then, and I am impressed that the quality has remained consistent throughout the years. My almost 7 year old loves Highlights, is a valuable investment for any parent. I don't know what I would do without this magazine, it keeps her entertained at restaurants and while we travel in the car. Not to mention, it's much cheaper than investing in portable gadgets that are out of date every few months.

Best of all, families can enjoy a 1-year subscription to any Highlights magazine for $34.44. For more information, please visit Highlights. Grow with Highlights! Perfect for every age and every stage.
